Calafiori own goal seals victory over Italy
Spain have made a perfect start to their Euro 2024 campaign, thrashing Croatia 3-0 in their first Group B match before sealing their place in the last 16 with a 1-0 victory over Italy on Thursday.
A Riccardo Calafiori own goal was enough to secure all three points for Spain, who finished top of the group with seven points.
Italy, who needed to win to progress, finished second with six points and will face the runners-up from Group A in the last 16.
Spain will face the winners of Group A in the last 16, with the match scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
